Tips & Tricks
As a marksman, Moskov needs to stay at range and use his passive cooldown reduction to help him constantly buff himself and dodge enemy attacks.
Moskov is capable of pumping out heavy damage if he can stay out of the enemy’s range. During the laning phase, play carefully, farming gold to purchase items and avoiding death. Play aggressively when a support or jungler is nearby.
During team fights, take advantage of Moskov’s powerful passive to pierce enemy heroes, dealing AoE damage and getting resets on your abilities. Use them to buff yourself further, pumping out more damage to the entire enemy team.
Items
With Moskov’s piercing passive, items that increase his ability to attack faster and apply effects on-hit make Moskov even more deadly.
Swift Boots are great for all marksmen, allowing Moskov to use his basic attacks more rapidly.
Items like Demon Hunter Sword offer great bonus damage, perfect for taking out tanks in the enemy front line. With Moskov’s passive, he can even pierce the tanks and hit enemies behind that the tank is protecting.
Windtalker is another smart choice for Moskov, allowing him to gain speed and adding some magic damage to the mix.
Abilities
As a marksman, Moskov’s abilities are designed to shine in team fights, where he will primarily be staying back and weaving in Basic Attacks with his abilities.
Use Abyss Walker defensively to reposition or offensively to secure a kill on a priority target (if you know you can complete the kill and escape successfuly!)
Spear of Misery can be used to crowd control multiple enemies in a team fight, taking high priority targets out of the fight for a few seconds. It can also be used to get out of trouble, pushing enemies away and possibly stunning them, allowing Moskov and his allies to escape.
Moskov’s ultimate ability is a powerful burst spear, that further buffs his attack depending on how many enemies it hits. If enemies are grouped properly for the spear to hit a majority of them, this can be a fantastic initiator to quickly burst enemies down and raise Moskov’s attack, allowing him to get into the fight and rapidly kill the enemy opposition.
Emblems
The Marksman Emblem page benefits Moskov, with Bravery buffing his Physical Attack stat. Swift increases his Attack Speed, allowing him the opportunity to pierce even more targets in the thick of a fight.
Lastly, Weapon Master furthers the gains his equipment gives him. Electro Flash can also work nicely, helping Moskov with a bit of sustain in battle.
