Tips & Tricks
Irithel and Leo are the definition of late-game monsters, gaining more and more power as the match goes on. The ability to move with Leo while Irithel attacks makes Irithel even more capable of dodging enemy attacks and pumping out damage in the process.
Although you may be riding an enormous beast into battle, it’s important to play safe as Irithel, especially early in the game. You need to farm consistently, acquiring gold to rush your items and gain an advantage over the enemy team.
In team fights, stay safely positioned to avoid damage, especially from assassins and mages. You are your team’s source of sustained damage, and to be able to do that, you need to be able to avoid burst damage and see the fights out to the end.
Items
Irithel steadily becomes a monster as she acquires more items. Swift Boots are a nice starting item for her; as a marksman, she benefits from the boosted attack speed, and thanks to her passive she benefits more than other marksman from the movement speed bonus, allowing her to move even faster while still attacking.
Windtalker gives Irithel some nice stat boosts, while also allowing her to chain Basic Attacks to multiple enemies in team fights and adding some Magic Damage to her kit. As an added bonus, she also will gain a movement speed burst. Ride on!
Other items in the build work together to boost Irithel’s critical abilities and attack speed, boosting her physical attack, too. By the time she’s at full build with Blade of Despair, Irithel will be able to wipe the floor with enemies, gaining an extra 25% Physical Attack against low health targets.
Abilities
As a marksman, Irithel should primarily be using her Basic Attacks from range, avoiding damage by riding Leo and attacking.
She does have skills to enhance her ability to get off her Basic Attacks and pursue enemies.
Strafe is an amazing tool for piercing enemy armor with its AoE Physical Defense reduction. Be sure to get this off on as many enemies as possible, especially during critical fights. Upgrade this ability first to take advantage of the increased Defense Reduction, scaling from 15 at level one to 60 at Level 6.
Force of the Queen is a powerful AoE slow, enabling Irithel and Leo to make a speedy getaway when necessary or crippling enemies when engaging with the rest of her team. Use this skill wisely; not having it available could be the thing that stops you from getting out of the fight alive.
Irithel’s ultimate, Heavy Crossbow, boosts her Basic Attack damage but slows her attack speed. Upgrade this when possible to really pump out extra bonus damage that chains to nearby enemies. Lasting for 15 seconds, this is perfect for drawn out fights, giving Irithel and her team the edge.
Emblems
Despite being a Marksman, the Assassin Emblem gives Irithel some nice stat increases and can help her snowball ahead of enemies.
Bravery boosts her Physical damage, making those powerful Basic Attacks even stronger.
Fatal increases her Crit Chance, making her attacks deal astronomical damage, especially when enemies have had their defense reduced by Strafe.
Bounty Hunter allows Irithel to pick up extra gold for kills, helping her spiral out of control especially against reckless enemy teams. Killing Spree is another alternative that gives her sustain and movement speed, perfect for the Irithel player determined to hunt enemy teams down and take them all down.
