Tips & Tricks
Helcurt is a deadly assassin capable of eliminating high priority targets from the battlefield with many tools at his disposal for sneaking up and taking them out.
In the early game, Helcurt needs to stay in the jungle, farming camps and keeping an eye on each of the three lanes, assisting allies when necessary. By lurking in the shadows, even the threat of his ultimate ability can be enough to stop an enemy engage.
Because he is designed as an assassin, Helcurt is best suited for finding lone targets out of position (especially squishy ones like immobile mages and marksmen) and taking them out before fights begin.
Look to pick off low health targets and cripple the enemies defenses, pushing objectives in the process.
Items
As an assassin, Helcurt is designed to burst an enemy down and escape back into the night, meaning he primarily will be building damage items with little defenses.
Start with the jungle item to make early clears more efficient. Attack Speed Boots (Swift Boots) can be a good choice, making it easier to stack Helcurt’s stingers. Warrior Boots and Tough Boots are also good choices that are more defensive in nature.
Blade of Despair is another core item for Helcurt, greatly increasing his Physical Attack, allowing him to jump on enemies and burst them down much faster.
Abilities
Helcurt’s Shadow Transition gives him a nice ranged teleport, perfect for sneaking up on enemies or getting yourself into the backline to take out a marksman or mage without having to deal with the tank first.
Helcurt’s Ultimate, Dark Night Falls, is a very powerful ability due to its utility alone. Reducing enemy vision and removing sight of their own allies makes it hard for enemies to stop Helcurt and his team, especially if he’s jumping on an easy to burst target.
Cast Dark Night Falls when spotting a target to assassinate, and then use Shadow Transition to jump on them, slowing them for 40% in addition to silencing them. This will make it virtually impossible for them to escape.
Basic Attacks will help Helcurt damage the enemy after jumping on them, helping him store his slightly ranged Stingers that can be used to finish off the enemy if they somehow manage to flee.
Emblems
Helcurt benefits most from the Assassin emblem page, with upgrades in Agility and Invasion giving him added speed and physical penetration. The Bounty Hunter talent grants extra gold for kills, helping Helcurt acquire his expensive damage items more quickly and snowball faster.
