Tips & Tricks
Vexana has powerful crowd control in her ability to fear enemies. Her curses and ability to summon puppets also brings a unique element to battle. Turn the enemies against themselves, giving your team an extra member that enemies have to deal with.
Poke enemies down and use Vexana’s crowd control to sway the tide of team fights and protect yourself and teammates. As a mage, Vexana needs to keep her distance and play safely to maximize her ability to deal damage with her skills.
Items
Vexana has a powerful ultimate, so building items that reduce her cooldowns and allow her to use it more frequently are priority.
Demon Shoes helps Vexana with mana regeneration problems she might face when being played properly, staying alive in the back lines.
Items like Fleeting Time reward Vexana for killing enemies, reducing her ultimate and helping her have even more cursed puppets ready to die for her.
Items like Holy Crystal and Genius Wand give Vexana greatly increased magic power, helping her abilities to stay relevant as the game goes on.
Abilities
Nether Snare offers some nice AoE damage, allowing Vexana to hit multiple targets in tense team fights.
Charmed Specter is a great move to use when initiating a fight with fellow teammates, but don’t forget that it can help you self-peel or save a teammate as well. Landing Charmed Specter will fear enemies, making them turn away and unable to attack, helping you escape and annoying opponents in the process.
Cursed Oath allows you to turn the enemies against themselves, and it’s important to chose the right target to put the curse on, especially in tight team fights. Clones have a portion of the original enemy’s stats, making it important to choose the most fed enemy. The puppets also deal continuous damage, a percentage of their max health, making it a smart choice to choose a tank that’s leading the charge, especially if you can’t get in range of better targets.
Emblems
As a mage, Vexana benefits the most from the Mage Emblem page. Agility gives her some movement speed, helpful when her Charmed Specter is down and she needs to retreat from a fight and reposition.
Impure Rage allows Vexana to deal percentage health damage to enemies with her skills and restore her mana in the process.
