Champion Stats
Overflowing
Cecilion increases his max mana by 8 each time his skill hits an enemy target. (1 second cooldown.)
Cecilion has higher max mana and mana regen speed, and his skill’s damage scales with his max mana.
Moonlit Waltz
When Carmilla is nearby, Cecilion can use Moonlit Waltz Battle Spell to call her to him, providing a shield that scales with Carmilla’s level.
Carmilla can then select a target place and land at it, gaining the same shield and dealing Magic Damage to enemies within the area, slowing them by 60% for one second.
Bat Impact
Cecilion orders a giant bat to dive in a designated direction, dealing Magic Damage to enemies on the path. The bat stays at its destination and launches another attack, dealing Magic Damage and triggering Overflowing once.
After casting, Cecilion gains 30% Movement Speed for one second.
For six seconds, every time Cecilion casts the skill, the mana cost is increased by 1.8x (for a maximum of four times.)
Sanguine Claws
Cecilion summons a pair of claws in a designated position that run to each other, slowing enemies on the path. After a short delay, the claws pull enemies to the center, immobilizing them for one second and dealing Magic Damage.
Bats Feast
Cecilion unleashes Blood Demon power, increasing his Movement Speed by 60% decaying over 1.5 seconds and gaining immunity to slowing effects. Meanwhile, he shoots 40 bolts of blood energy at enemies nearby, each dealing Magic Damage and slowing them by 3% (stacking up to 30%) for one second.
Hitting an enemy heals him for a percentage of his lost HP.

Tips & Tricks
Cecilion is a powerful poke and burst mage that scales well into the late game where he can truly shine. He is able to stay safe and still bully enemies early with his skills, but begins to truly output damage when team fights begin.
As an immobile mage, Cecilion relies on proper positioning to stay alive and needs protection from his more durable allies. His ultimate ability allows him to sustain himself from the brink of death, but he is still vulnerable to assassins. It’s important to play safely and farm early to avoid getting behind — something that can easily happen if Cecilion dies often early when the assassins who counter him are at their strongest.
Because of Cecilion’s strong synergy with Carmilla, when played together, the two can have insane power and pressure over the map when pushing in waves mid and roaming to assist elsewhere. Carmilla can protect Cecilion well, and he can protect her with Moonlit Waltz. If playing with friends or in a team, make sure the player who will be in the support role knows and is comfortable with Carmilla so that the team (and you) can benefit from the powerful synergy the couple brings to battle!
Items
As a mage whose skills gain damage based on his mana, Cecilion wants to build magic damage items that boost and restore his mana to keep him at high damage output at all times.
Clock of Destiny gives Cecilion an early boost of mana and magic damage, and it continues to scale over the course of the game, working nicely with his scaling playstyle.
Demon Shoes are a must for him to sustain his high mana costs and keep him topped up with mana.
Items like Lightning Truncheon can further increase Cecilion’s power and mana, giving him a nice spike in power.
Ice Queen Wand gives him some nice utility with its slow (and paired with Flameshot, he is able to bring enemies to a stand still, further controlling them with his claw ability.) This makes his skills easier to land, allowing more damage to land with less enemy resistance.
Fleeting Time allows Cecilion to use his powerful ultimate ability more often — perfect if enemy assassins are jumping on him and team fights are breaking out rapidly. Bats Feast is very powerful, allowing Cecilion to restore himself and damage enemies. Having this more readily available is always handy.
Genius Wand can finish Cecilion’s build and give him one final boost in power, helping him move faster and becoming slightly more mobile, while also reducing enemy defenses and penetrating armor more easily.
Abilities
Overflowing, Cecilion’s passive ability, helps him scale well as the game goes on. Try to always hit enemy heroes with skills, especially when poking early, to stack his passive as soon as possible. The more stacks you have by the time team fights start occurring, the more swiftly you’ll be able to snowball the enemy team and siege objectives with your allies.
Bat Impact gives Cecilion considerable and hefty poke to enemies who don’t respect him in the early game. This is particularly effective against other immobile mages he may be laning against. Position wisely so that the bat strikes enemies twice when possible, keeping your distance and poking. This ability can be used multiple times in brief succession, giving Cecilion rapidfire poke that few enemies can contest early (if he manages to land the skill.)
Cecilion manages to have some crowd control with his Sanguine Claws. The delay before casting makes this a skill that needs to be aimed predictively, but when it lands it is powerful. This can be Cecilion’s only form of escape if enemies are pursuing him (so be sure to have it ready and be predictive when casting so that it lands…or you may die!) It also can be a very powerful team fight initiator, controlling enemies and allowing Cecilion to follow up rapidly with his other abilities.
Cecilion can use Sanguine Claws to snare enemies in place and follow up with Bat Impact for considerable damage that will be next to impossible for enemies to avoid. This can make him a strong threat at level two against his lane opponent if they do not keep well enough away or use their own abilities to dodge his.
For his ultimate ability, Cecilion calls upon his bats to feast upon the enemy team. Bats Feast gives Cecilion some sustain through team fights while also allowing him to pop out considerable damage. The homing bats attack enemies in a wide radius around him and restore his health, scaling with how much he is missing. Because of its power, Bats Feast should ideally be used in the middle of team fights, allowing Cecilion to reap low enemies with its wide radius, or use it to sustain himself if taking burst or poke damage from the enemy team mid fight.
As the game goes on and Cecilion begins to scale, Bats Feast can be used with discretion to initiate fights, chipping enemies down before they can even react. With Items like Ice Queen Wand slowing enemies on top of it, it will be hard for the enemy team to escape, especially when Cecilion initiates with his teammates to back him up. Remember though — always position wisely and stay in the back lines. Watch out and bait out enemy crowd control and try to dodge and stay protected from enemy assassins who will be able to jump on you, kill you, and escape untouched before you can even Flameshot them away if you’re not careful.
Emblems
Cecilion benefits most from the Mage emblem page, with upgrades in Agility and Observation giving him movement speed and magic penetration.
Impure Rage gives Cecilion some further scaling damage based on enemy health while also topping up his mana. Magic Worship can also work if enemies will be easy to burst down and proc the burn. Mystery Shop is another valid talent for all mages, allowing them to buy items more quickly.
