With buffs to the game’s red buff enabling marksman heroes to do wild damage even in the early stages of the game, marksmen have been on the rise with Granger and Wanwan benefitting the most in popularity.
Fighters and other Offlaners have been struggling to cope with the power a red buff marksman has. Whether or not the buff will be receiving any changes has yet to be revealed, but in the mean time, marksmen will be reaping the benefits and games that manage to snag Granger or Wanwan will enjoy a nice edge on their opponents.
New hero Carmilla has also been performing strongly, with players utilizing her as a tank support that gets up close and personal with enemies and controlling them.
Franco‘s return to the game as another strong support choice has made it necessary once more to be able to dodge enemy hooks (another reason why marksmen like Granger and Wanwan, who have built in mobility are enjoying success.)
Junglers like Ling and Helcurt are enjoying success, able to prey on the double-marksmen meta with their assassination play style.
For choice of tanks and fighters, teams need hard initiation and crowd control to lock down the enemy marksmen, which has led to a rise in popularity for heroes like Khufra and Lolita. While fighters have been less popular, X.Borg is still enjoying playtime thanks to his significant contributions to team fights.
