Tips & Tricks
As a marksman, Hanabi needs to stay in the back lines and deal damage to the targets closest to her, offering her team sustained damage. Her passive rewards her for proper positioning, giving her shields to survive being jumped by assassins or burst mages as well as crowd control immunity and increased movement speed.
During the early game, farm minions safely, careful to not give free kills to the enemy team. Try to keep your passive shield active as much as possible by avoiding enemy poke.
Hanabi thrives in the late game with her massive AoE basic attacks and savage lifesteal built into her kit. Use Hanabi’s powerful basic attacks to fight with your team, pushing for objectives and taking turrets.
Items
With innate life steal, Hanabi thrives on getting lots of hits off rapidly, making Swift Boots a natural choice for her.
Scarlet Phantom is another core item for Hanabi, granting her increased Crit Chance and Attack Speed, allowing her to get more attacks off quickly, sustaining herself more easily in the process.
Abilities
Hanabi’s Petal Barrage makes her a deadly threat in team fights. Always make sure the ability is active when enemies start grouping up and enjoy being able to fire damage to enemies with even more range; Hanabi can safely hit the tanks leading the charge with Petal Barrage bouncing back at the squishier reinforcements.
Soul Scroll offers Hanabi some mana sustain as well as a brief slow. Try to use the move wisely so as to get the most out of it, topping off your mana as well as slowing enemies before or during an engage.
Hanabi’s ultimate ability is a very powerful crowd control move that offers a huge hazard zone when thrown out. Try to hit a high priority target with Hanabi’s ultimate, whether it’s a tank that is about to charge in and needs immobilized, or — if safely possible — a burst mage or assassin. Higanbana offers Hanabi both self peel and the ability to proactively engage with her team.
Emblems
Marksman Emblems work nicely for Hanabi, with Bravery and Doom increasing her physical attack and penetration, making her hit even harder and pierce enemy armor.
Weapon Master allows Hanabi to enjoy more attack from weapons she purchases, a great boost that helps her keep up, especially early, before hitting her late game power spikes.
